Andrew Bayer: If It Were You, We’d Never Leave is finally out today!
Click here to preview all the tracks on his album. There’s a lot of (well-deserved) hype revolving this album and here are my first impressions.
Firstly, tracks are nothing like his previous uplifting/progressive trance beats. Bayer definitely takes the opportunity to expose traditional trance fans with slower, newer & foreign sounds. He steers away from traditional, disjointed track sequences, and transforms your music listening experience by bringing you on a storytelling journey of his most recent musical influences.
The first half reels you into a set of moodier and grittier (yet also euphoric) glitch-hop beats fused with a fluid backdrop of mixed percussions and experimental synths. The latter half transcends you into an atmospheric and dreamy world, using the piano and violin in an electronic setting, without making it cheesy or out of place. It’s cinematic (soundtrack-like), weaving you into this imaginative and hypnotic environment, where you envision a dramatic panoramic landscape that can only be enjoyed in solitude.
This definitely deserves your full attention, preferably in one sitting and with good headphones. Go get your copy today!
I’m really loving his NEW infectious track, Atmosphere. The vocals are actually sung by Kaskade himself and he does an amazing job building up the introduction.
Definitely going to be a hit summer song for me!

Satin Jackets have a knack for creating glossy tunes wrapped in the lushness of modern club sound. You Make Me Feel Good , their first release on Eskimo recordings, is another showcase of deep dance delicacy. The Original mix has been causing some serious blog hype recently and is finally getting released, with the yet unheard Deep mix on the flip. You Make Me Feel Good continues the German group’s poolside prominence, lacing ambiently tuned melodies and soulful vocals. But with deeply ornamented grooves and a rare injection of emotive energy, we are glad to have signed another gem to shout loud and proud about.”
